The main purpose of the work of international cooperation is the integration of the University in the world educational space. This means ensuring the recognition of the University as an active participant in international research and educational process, acknowledgement of EKSTU diploma, its recognition by various associations and educational agencies of different countries. Annually students of The Department of Earth Sciences take part in international educational programs, such as international exchange programs IESTE, ISPRS, DAAD, Bolashak and summer foreign trainings.

In 2014-2015 academic year doctorate students of “Metallurgy” went to education trip to Akita university (Japan) and Clausthal (Germany) where they had internship. The doctorate student Kozhamberdinov A. (12-DMT-3) had scientific internship in Akita university (Japan), nine mater students of “Geology, Cartography and Cadastre” sub-department had internship in Bundeswehr University( Munich, Germany). At present collaboration contract is executed with this university.

The Department has 20 active agreements on scientific and technical cooperation (Poland, Great Britain, Russia, China, Mongolia, USA, and Japan).

Teaching staff and students actively participate in various seminars, forums and internships. In 2012 -2013, our master students went to foreign trainings to Germany, Russia, India, Great Britain, and Japan. Master students prepared together with the coordinates of their dissertations a visit schedule and demo material about our university to present it to a foreign university. The faculty has 20 active agreements on scientific and technical cooperation (Poland, Great Britain, Russia, China, Mongolia, USA, and Japan).

To organize academic mobility of students and teaching staff faculty departments attract foreign lecturers since 2012 till 2014. Thus 44 foreign lecturers and professors were invited from abroad to the Department. The scientists from Russian Federation, Mongolia, Germany, Poland and Czechia are among them. They are reached certain agreements with foreign universities professors about the possibility of their participation in master students training and of and scientific supervision under doctoral dissertations. Our university continues to arrange agreements for more effective cooperation with foreign universities
