Scientific-Research Activity

The department conducts scientific work financed by the state budgetary theme "Development of a modular technology for applying erosion and corrosion-resistant coatings, as well as technology of restorative and modernization repair of steam turbine blades of power plants" and "Development of solid-state production technologies ≥ 20 GPa and superhard ≥ 40 GPa nanocomposite coatings, based on multi-component and multi-layer systems. "

  • Investment and improvement of energy saving system (2015 – 2017yy.);
  • "Safety training in the workplace and energy efficiency for sustainable development of the East Kazakhstan region".

International cooperation

The chair has established and maintains strong scientific contacts with major scientific centers not only of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Russian Federation, but also with distant countries: Hungary, Turkey. Communication with the Wroclaw Polytechnic University (Wroclaw, Poland) is established.

Students and undergraduates have the opportunity for academic mobility to study at any university in the world. In addition, the undergraduates of the department can undergo a free scientific internship at leading foreign universities of the CIS, Europe and other countries of their choice.

In 2016-2017 academic year bachelors and undergraduates of the department listened to lectures, took part in joint scientific research, seminars and conferences with leading European scientists.
