Each year students of the specialty "5В070500 - Mathematical and Computer Modeling" study under the academic mobility program under a bilateral agreement with the University of Wroclaw:
- Tolykpayeva Madina (12-МК-1);
- Iskakova Madina (13-МК-1);
- Khaichenko Valeriya (14-МК-1).

For significant achievements in science and social activities, a 2nd year student of the School of Information Technologies in the specialty "Mathematical and Computer Modeling" Seriktayeva Ayazhan (17-MKK-1) was awarded the "Best Student of the CIS – 2019" breast medal, the second degree diploma of the “International Encyclopedia of Talented Youth” project in the framework of the “Best Student – 2019” contest among educational institutions of the Commonwealth of Independent States.
The department "Mathematical and Computer Modeling" pays great attention to attracting schoolchildren to research work. In this regard, the teachers of the department take part annually as:
- jury members in the event "Presentation of scientific projects of schoolchildren of the city and the region" in the sections on mathematics and applied mathematics "at the" Daryn "center;
- jury members in regional, regional, city olympiads of schoolchildren in mathematics;
- work with students in the senior grades in SSLMMFI, conduct special courses;
- Organizing and conducting mathematical competitions for schoolchildren in the region: "Zhas mathematician", "Zhastalap", regional Olympiad;
- guidance and consultation of research projects for schoolchildren in mathematics.
