Student Research Topics

The research work of students (NIRS) at the department is viewed as a continuation and deepening of the academic process and is the most important means of raising the theoretical, technical, scientific, and information training of young specialists.
At the department there are 2 student clubs: "Optimist" (head Beldeubaeva Zh.T.) and "Inform-XXI" (head Zagainov I.A.).
The topics of the NIRS correspond to the main directions of the research work of the faculty staff:

application of IT-technology in education;
mathematical and computer modeling of technical, economic and ecological processes and systems;
intellectual decision support in medical systems;
information technology of infrasound cleaning of flue gases of thermal power complex facilities;
recognition of streaming video for scalable highly loaded systems;
analytical monitoring of reserves and quality of groundwater.

In 2017, April, students, undergraduates and young scientists of the department took an active part in the session of the section in the work of the subsection "ICT in Education, Science and Technology" of the ХVI Republican STC students, undergraduates, graduate students and young scientists "Creativity of Young - Innovative Development of Kazakhstan" 16 reports were made. In the spring of 2015, the Olympiad on specialty 5B070300 "Information Systems" was held at KazNU. al-Farabi, Almaty, where students of the specialty 5B070300 took part. According to the results of the Olympiad, the student of the department "Information Systems" Berdigozha Zh. (Gr.12-ISK-1) won 2nd place.

In May 2015, the student Kolotvin M.S. (14-ВТТ1) took part in the final of the VIII International Olympiad in the IT sphere of students of higher and secondary vocational education "IT-Planet", which was held in St. Petersburg, Russia.
