Continued research at the project partner's farm in Berezovka village (Glubokoe, East Kazakhstan Region))

Preparatory work is carried out to treat barley crops with nanopreparations in order to increase crop yields, in accordance with the objectives of the project "Development and Implementation of Geoinformation support for "Smart" Agriculture to improve the Management of the Agro-Industrial complex".

On June 1, 2023, the scientific group made a visit to the farm "Ernar", Glubokoe, Beryozovka village. The main purpose was to find out the state of spring barley crops on the farm's fields.

In the fields where spring barley was sown in early May, the tillering stage was observed.

Beginning of field work on the project partner's farm

On April 8, 2023, the research group visited the "Irtysh" LLP (farm "Ernar", Glubokoe, Beryozovka village). A meeting was held with the manager and employees of the farm. At the meeting the following issues were discussed: the readiness of the farm for the field season, schemes of crop rotations on the fields of the farm in the current year, sowing terms, clarified the numbering and areas of fields, etc.

In order to implement the project "Development and implementation of geoinformation support of "smart" agriculture to improve the management of the agroindustrial complex" the possibility of continuing the experiments on the effect of nanopreparations (fullerenols) on the yield of spring barley in the same field, where their impact was studied last year, was discussed.

The discussion touched on one of the tasks of the project: the possibility of creating a software product for calculating the efficiency and manageability of agricultural production of plant products.

April 2022 is the start of the field season. The scientific group of the project visited the farms "Mayak" in Pavlodar region and "Agrofirma Devyatka" in the East Kazakhstan region. Meetings were held with partners - managers and leading employees of these farms.

In accordance with the goal of the project “Development and implementation of geoinformation support for “smart” agriculture to improve the management of the agro-industrial complex”, crop rotation schemes for the current year, crop varieties for sowing in the fields, numbering and field areas were specified.

According to the project plan, university scientists developed electronic data maps of farms with contours of arable land and accurate coordinate referencing, which they handed over to project partners. At the meetings, topical issues of agrotechnical measures during the sowing of barley, wheat, sunflower and other crops were discussed.

The exchange of views concerned the choice and application of modern digitalization tools, incl. thrusters for sowing complexes, GPS trackers, etc. We specified the timing of sowing crops, taking into account the soil and climatic conditions in the dry steppe zone (KH "Mayak") and the foothill regions of Altai (Agrofirma Devyatka).

In accordance with the agreement, the scientific group delivered and installed a local weather station on the farm. Data on numerous parameters of weather events will be automatically transmitted to the VKTU server and processed to predict the timing of the main agrotechnical measures and stages of plant development.

They also discussed the possibility of conducting a field experiment with a nanopreparation (fullerinol), the algorithm of necessary actions, the choice of fields, the allocated area, the sown crop (spring barley) and other issues.

Based on the results of the April field trips, it should be noted the interest of all parties, the desire to make the most of all available resources and fulfill the tasks set in the project for this field season.

On 04-07.07.2023, The 9th International Conference on Agricultural and Biological Sciences (ABS 2023) was held in Macau, China.

The main objective of the conference is to provide a platform for the dissemination of scientific information on various current and emerging methods and technologies in agricultural, biological, food and environmental aspects.

Within the framework of this conference many scientists, researchers, entrepreneurs and producers from China, Italy, Kazakhstan, Korea, Japan, Bangladesh and other countries had an opportunity to share their ideas and experiences, discuss common problems of agricultural industry and propose solutions.

Within the framework of the project "Development and implementation of geoinformation support of "smart" agriculture to improve the management of agro-industrial complex" took part Shaymardanov J.K., Shaymardanova B.K., Assylkhanova Zh. A. with a report on "Integration of barley yield estimation results into a cross-platform application for implementation of precision farming elements in Kazakhstan". According to the results of the conference, certificates were issued to the participants.
