Goal
- The development of students ' psychological thinking based on the study and assimilation of their knowledge of the General psychology course, the formation of skills and abilities of system analysis of psychological phenomena in the course of seminars and practical classes.
Objective
- - give a holistic view of the most significant theoretical concepts, empirical research and the main provisions of General, social, age-related and pedagogical psychology; - develop psychological and pedagogical thinking; - strengthen the applied orientation of the course for independent use
Learning outcome: knowledge and understanding
- Knows the basic concepts of the principles of the functioning of the psyche; - psychological macrostructure and components of the categories "person", "personality"; - various aspects of the application of theories of psychology in practice.

- conducts special research on current life problems; - is able to plan work on self-change and self-development; - makes research projects at the intersection of psychology and specialty.

- The realization of the desire for self-knowledge and self-transformation, the development of skills to analyze psychological concepts and real-life problems arising from the identity involving knowledge of psychology and their successful solution on this basis; - independent analysis and formulation of problems, planning of work to solve the problems; - independent selection is needed for problem solution ways, making the results work in the form of a report, their public presentation and protection; – the ability to quickly adapt the basic laws of mental activity in professional activities; - the ability to use the fundamental and latest achievements in psychology; - the ability to find organizational and managerial solutions taking into account the human factor in production situations.
Teaching methods
- Interactive lecture (using the following active forms of learning: guided (controlled) discussion or conversation; moderation; demonstration of slides or educational films; brainstorming; motivational speech); - building scenarios for the development of various situations based on the specified conditions; - search and research (independent research activities of students in the learning process); - solving educational problems.
Assessment of the student's knowledge
Teacher oversees various tasks related to ongoing assessment and determines students' current performance twice during each academic period. Ratings 1 and 2 are formulated based on the outcomes of this ongoing assessment. The student's learning achievements are assessed using a 100-point scale, and the final grades P1 and P2 are calculated as the average of their ongoing performance evaluations. The teacher evaluates the student's work throughout the academic period in alignment with the assignment submission schedule for the discipline. The assessment system may incorporate a mix of written and oral, group and individual formats.

The student's final grade in the course is calculated on a 100 point grading scale, it includes:
- 40% of the examination result;
- 60% of current control result.
