At D. Serikbayev East Kazakhstan Technical University (EKTU), special attention is given to the development of interdisciplinary scientific research, including in the preparation of projects for grant funding and other initiatives.
Interdisciplinary scientific research is a type of research that combines knowledge, traditions, and processes related to multiple scientific disciplines. It may involve several scientists collaborating across different fields or a single researcher working on scientific questions that span multiple disciplines.
In interdisciplinary research, the same problem can be examined from multiple perspectives, whereas true interdisciplinary research requires these perspectives to be integrated by a researcher or a team of researchers.
