Main scientific results

An air plasma spraying unit is developed which consists of a plasmatron, an argon and air inert gas supply system, a 500 A inverter type power supply with an idle voltage of 40 V and an autonomous plasmatron cooling system.

A plasmatron which consists of a cooled anode, swirl unit, interelectrode insertion and cathode was developed.

The advantage of the developed plasmatron is that the outlet holes in the nozzle are made in the form of rectangular tapering-expanding channels, as well as the anode is fully welded and its surface has a radiator profile that will allow disassembly and assembly of the plasmatron during repair work without compromising its quality.
