Main scientific results

Purpose of the work. Creating a mathematical model for producing hydrogen-rich synthesis gas from high-ash coals and developing a design scheme for an allothermic regime gasifier.

Task of the work. Creation of a mathematical model for the production of hydrogen-enriched synthesis gas from high-ash coals and the development of a structural scheme for an allothermal gasifier.

The object of research. The object of the study is an experimental sample of an allothermic regime gasifier and experiments to obtain hydrogen-enriched gas synthesis using a catalyst of iron particles that will be generated from industrial waste.

Research subject. The subject of the research is the study of the characteristics of Ekibastuz coal. Taking into account all the components that are present in the coal, it is the potential for their extraction and gasification of high-ash coal in allothermic mode.

Methods of research. When performing the research work, the following methods will be applied:

  • methodology of marginal energy conservation which implies the search for effective options for processing technogenic raw materials through the development of thermal schemes and their analysis. Comparison of the results with the energy consumption in a thermodynamic ideal system;
  • the method of planning experiments consisting in a regression analysis of the results, experiments by obtaining criteria equations that meet the main objectives of the theses;
  • method of affine modeling involving experimental adjustment of non-correlating parameters of the experimental setup to the predicted industrial setup.
