One of the most important tasks of the educational program is to improve the methodology and technology for designing and building roads.

Design and build roads, including methods of computational justification, including using universal and specialized software and computer systems and computer-aided design of roads, using in practice the skills and abilities in organizing research and scientific and production work in the road construction industries , was the need to introduce a system for applying the elements of dual training.

The educational program is taught by leading teachers of D. Serikbaev EKTU, as well as leading experts with practical experience in the road industry.

There is an opportunity to continue education in the magistracy 7M07304 "Roads" in three languages ​​(Russian, Kazakh, English), in profile (1 year) and scientific and pedagogical (2 years) directions.

Competence model of a graduate

• ability to apply standard methods for calculating road elements; carry out design and construction work;
• draw up design and technological documentation in accordance with standards, specifications and other regulatory documents, including using computer-aided design tools;
• the ability to participate in the work on innovative projects, using the basic methods of research activities of the road industry, based on the systematic study of scientific and technical information, domestic and foreign experience, conducting patent research;
• the ability to conduct experiments according to specified methods with the processing and analysis of the results,
• apply standard test methods to determine the physical and mechanical properties and technological indicators of the materials used and finished products of road construction.

Research work:

Every year, students and undergraduates take part in competitions of graduation projects, in competitions of student scientific works, in Republican and International scientific conferences of young scientists and students, subject Olympiads. The materials of the scientific student conference are issued in the form of a collection of scientific articles.

Teachers take part in scientific-practical and scientific-methodical conferences not only in the Republic of Kazakhstan, but also abroad.
