The Faculty of Basic Engineering Training is a faculty whose main task is the physical and mathematical training of future engineers, focused on the formation of competence in the application of the physical and mathematical knowledge base for modeling, visualization of processes and objects of the professional field.

- "Technical Physics", the level of training-bachelor's, master's and doctoral studies.
Close cooperation with the Institute of Atomic Energy of the branch of the National Nuclear Center of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Plazmascience LLP, UMZ JSC, Kazzinc LLP and other large enterprises of the region is the justification for the fact that physicists are material scientists, since their field of activity is the basis of any industry.
- "Mathematical and computer modeling", the level of training - bachelor's degree, master's degree.
- "Mathematics", the level of training - master's and doctoral studies.
Simultaneous and parallel study of the two most important principles – mathematics and computer science – open up unique opportunities to acquire the necessary skills and thereby be in demand and competitive in the labor market. Educational programs are aimed at developing the competence to develop text and speech recognition algorithms, computer and mathematical models in the fields of physics, biology, economics, sociology, meteorology, radio electronics, mechanical engineering, automotive and others, create forecasting models, decision-making systems, encrypt and decrypt texts, objects.
"Center of Physics"
The faculty has a unique "Physics Center", which is focused on the formation of students' digital design abilities of the acquired basic knowledge of physics, mathematics in the field of professional activity.

the aim of the project is to support students in research work to consciously continue their studies at the university and fill in the gaps in the school curriculum in the physical and mathematical cycle of the region.
