The GIS technology laboratory is designed for students to acquire practical skills in geodata processing and the construction of electronic cartographic works, as well as skills in geo-information support of various production objects.
Professional competencies are formed in the laboratory:
- ability to use the knowledge of modern geographical and information systems, ways of obtaining, preparing and maintaining graphic, aerospace, photogrammetric and other information at modern level;
- ability to use modern geodetic equipment and specialized software for professional use.
Purpose: To carry out work in the field of geodetic and cartographic support for production facilities, and to train high quality specialists.
Objectives:
- conducting laboratory, practical exercises;
- development of geo-information support for objects;
- development of maps, digital models of terrain, objects, etc.
The laboratory is equipped with software for geodata processing, followed by the construction of electronic maps, plans, digital terrain models and relief models.
