The photogrammetry and remote sensing laboratory is designed for students to acquire practical skills in processing remote sensing data (space and aerial survey data), creating orthophotomaps, digital terrain models and digital terrain models.
Professional competencies are formed in the laboratory:
- Ability to use the knowledge of modern geographical and information systems, methods of obtaining, preparing and maintaining graphic, aerospace, photogrammetric and other information at modern level;
- Ability to use modern geodetic equipment and specialized software for professional use.
Purpose: To equip students with skills and competencies in photogrammetry, mapping, aerial photography and the processing of space imagery for a variety of purposes, to train high quality professionals.
Objectives:
- to conduct laboratory, practical exercises;
- to conduct research in the field of applied use of remote sensing data;
- aerial survey, thematic processing of space images for environmental, geological, agricultural, forestry, territorial management and other related areas.
The laboratory is equipped with the unique equipment and software required to produce aerial surveys, process satellite images and unmanned aerial vehicle data.
