6B07312 – Land Cadastre and Land Management

In April 2023, the educational program 6B07312 - Land Cadastre and Land Management successfully passed the international specialized accreditation.

The objectives of educational program 6В07312 "Land Cadastre and land Management":

Preparing a graduate for industrial and technological activities in the land management system: organizing and conducting geodetic, topographic surveys, adjusting planning and cartographic material, registering and registering land, allotment of land plots and drawing up legal documents, maintaining state control over the use and protection of agricultural land and lands of settlements, monitoring of lands of all categories, conducting operations with land and real estate.

Preparation of the graduate for settlement and design activities: preparation of land balances, land cadastral documents and maps, land reclamation and land improvement projects.

Preparation of the graduate for organizational and managerial activities: management and organization of geodetic, land management and cadastral works, state control of land use and protection, monitoring and survey and survey work.

Preparation of the graduate for experimental research: conducting research and research on the land cadastre, land monitoring, land management, precision farming and land valuation.

Preparation of the graduate for professional activities with the formation of social and personal qualities: determination, organization, diligence, sociability, teamwork, responsibility for the result of their professional activities, civic responsibility, tolerance; increasing their general culture, the ability to independently acquire and apply new knowledge and skills.

State land cadastre - a system of information about the natural and economic situation of lands, intended use, size and boundaries of land plots, their qualitative characteristics, land use records and cadastral value of land plots and other necessary information.     

 

Land management is a system of measures to ensure compliance with land legislation aimed at regulating land relations, rational use and land protection.

Precision farming is an integrated high-tech agricultural management system that includes global positioning technologies (GPS), geographic information systems (GIS), yield assessment technologies, variable rationing technology, remote sensing technology (remote sensing) and Internet of Things solutions.

Upon graduation, the student is awarded an academic degree - Bachelor of Engineering and Technology.

A graduate of this educational program can work as:

  • specialist of enterprises, organizations and institutions of the system of the Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan on land management;
  • Specialist of the Department «Scientific and Production Center of the Land Cadastre» - a branch of the non-commercial joint-stock company «State Corporation», «Government for Citizens» in East Kazakhstan;

The subjects of professional activity are:

  • geodetic and topographic surveys of land;
  • photogrammetric work and land mapping using GIS and digital technologies;
  • maintaining the state land cadastre and AIS SLC;
  • monitoring, state control of the use and protection of land;
  • Maintenance and design of land management of all types;
  • land management;
  • organization and conduct of land management and cadastral works;
  • carrying out land appraisal work.

Students have the opportunity to complete a joint internship at the Siberian state University of geosystems and technologies in Novosibirsk, Russian Federation.

Training practice is conducted in the summer expedition camp "Prostor" on the Bank of the Bukhtarma reservoir, production practice - on the basis of production enterprises of the city, region, Kazakhstan.

A hostel is provided for students from other cities.

Students are trained at the military Department with the assignment of officer rank.

The bachelor of the educational program 6B07312 "Land Cadastre and Land Management" can continue his studies in the master's degree program 7M07312 "Land Cadastre and land management".

Research work

When implementing an educational program, it is mandatory to involve students in research work. The results of students' scientific research are regularly published in publications of national and international importance. Students take an active part in competitions of student scientific papers, in Republican and International scientific conferences of young scientists and students, in republican subject Olympiads and Olympiads in the specialty, geodetic relay races.
