The university is the foundation that creates the conditions for the formation of a system of spiritual and moral values: patriotism, love and respect for the national culture, language and traditions, active citizenship, interethnic tolerance, and creative thinking.

Direction "Preservation of national identity"

Preserving national identity implies: patriotism, legal and civic consciousness, preservation of national culture, the formation of interethnic and interfaith tolerance, the development of creative abilities and healthy lifestyles. 

Actions for the formation of patriotism: meetings and dialogue platforms with veterans and workers of the rear of the Great Patriotic War, Afghan soldiers; measures to promote the history of Kazakhstan, culture, traditions, science, languages.

Events and structures on the formation of legal and civic consciousness: conferences, discussion platforms on socio-political, legal and social issues; meetings with students and faculty of the university to clarify the messages, as well as programs and projects initiated by the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan; presentations of projects implemented at the university as part of the "Rouhani Jagiru" program; the opening of the office of the regional youth movement "Zakyru Zholy" on the basis of the department "Ruhani zagyru".

Events aimed at preserving the national culture and its popularization in the international community: the opening of the exhibition "Ruhani zanyru" in the Altai State University (Barnaul, Russia). Annual Olympiad among students of Altai universities - citizens of Kazakhstan on the knowledge of the history of Kazakhstan.

Intellectual competitions contributed to the popularization of the culture and traditions of the Kazakh people, drew attention to the modern processes in Kazakhstan. As part of the implementation of scientific and cultural cooperation with the contiguous regions of the Russian Federation, activities are being carried out jointly with the Honorary Department "Kazakhstan Way and N.Nazarbayev" of the Altai State University, where they discuss methods for studying the N. Nazarbayev Model - a model of creation, peace and tolerance.

The project "100 new faces." In high school on an ongoing basis, meetings are held with famous cultural and art workers, entrepreneurs and scientists, as well as students who have been trained abroad for academic mobility programs. The project "100 new books." In order to make a qualitative and comprehensive use of new textbooks in the educational process, a roadmap for the project implementation was developed and approved. 

According to the roadmap, the following events were held at the university:

• presentation of the project "New humanitarian knowledge. 100 new textbooks in the Kazakh language "for university students;
• methodical seminar "Implementation of the project" New humanitarian knowledge. 100 new textbooks in the Kazakh language "at the university", at the site of the House of Friendship-Center for Public Consent of the Akim apparatus of East Kazakhstan;
• рresentation of the first books received by the university within the framework of the project for faculty of the university.

Handbooks and recommendations on the use of new textbooks in the educational process have been developed. The formation of portfolios of online lectures in the disciplines of philosophy and economics. The project provides open classes for university teachers.

Topical issues of the implementation of new textbooks, methods and ways to expand their use in the educational process are discussed at inter-university and inter-university methodological seminars on the project. Seminar participants made recommendations on how to optimize the use of books in the educational process.

A regional intercollegiate scientific and methodological council was opened to introduce new books into the educational process within the framework of the project "New humanitarian knowledge. 100 new textbooks in the Kazakh language. Systematic rubrics have been opened on the coverage and announcement of new books on the project in the regional newspaper "Rudny Altai" and the university newspaper "For knowledge".
