- The cycle provides military training for reserve officers and reserve sergeants in the following military specialties:
- Operation and repair of artillery weapons;
- Operation and repair of automotive equipment;
- Combat use of mortar units;
- Planning and organization of territorial defense;
- Repair and storage of automotive equipment (cars);
- Mortars from 60mm to 120mm.
Operation and repair of artillery weapons
Military training of students in the specialty "Operation and repair of artillery weapons" is aimed at preparing reserve officers loyal to their people, their homeland and the government of the Republic of Kazakhstan for the Armed Forces of the Republic of Kazakhstan, who have the necessary theoretical knowledge and practical skills in organizing the operation and repair of artillery weapons, missile support subunits and units, the ability to act effectively using weapons and military equipment in combat. These qualities in students are formed on the basis of knowledge and practical skills acquired by them in the process of studying at the military department and at training camps in military units.
Students trained in this specialty should know:
- guidelines for the operation of artillery weapons and ATGMs;
- organization and planning of the operation of artillery weapons and ATGM units;
- security measures in the operation of artillery weapons, ATGMs;
- rules for the storage and conservation of artillery weapons, ATGMs in the unit and in the warehouse;
- design of artillery weapons, ATGMs and military equipment;
- preparation of artillery pieces and ATGMs for combat use;
- purpose, arrangement and operation of ammunition for the studied weapons and hand grenades;
- purpose, organizational affiliation, main tactical and technical characteristics, combat use of the main models of artillery devices, small arms and melee weapons;
- the procedure for storing and saving artillery devices and small arms in the unit.

- organize and ensure the maintenance of artillery weapons, ATGMs in the established degree of combat readiness, its operation and restoration;
- organize and personally carry out technical maintenance, inspection, adjustment and preparation of artillery pieces, ATGMs for use for their intended purpose;
- to carry out measures to ensure security measures in the operation of artillery pieces, ATGMs;
- organize and conduct classes on the operation of artillery pieces, ATGMs with the personnel of artillery and technical units;
- organize and ensure the maintenance of weapons and military equipment in the established degree of combat readiness, their operation and restoration;
- organize routine maintenance, maintenance, inspection, adjustment and preparation of weapons and military equipment for combat use;
Operation and Repair of Motor Vehicles
The military training of students in the specialty Operation and repair of automotive equipment is intended to train for the Armed Forces of the Republic of Kazakhstan reserve officers with the necessary theoretical knowledge and practical skills to organize the operation and repair of automotive equipment, motor support units and parts, competent organization of military road transport unit in different combat conditions, the ability to act, effectively using weapons and military equipment in combat.These qualities in students are formed on the basis of the knowledge and practical skills they acquire in the course of study at the departments of a civilian specialty, at the military subdepartment and during training camps (internships) in military units.
Students trained in this specialty must:
know:
- the organization and tasks of automotive service in divisions and units;
- organization, tasks and use of means of automobile service and automobile subdivisions, and units;
- arrangement of ZIL-131 and KamAZ-4310 (Ural-4320) vehicles, their units, mechanisms and assemblies; organization of operation of military automotive equipment in peace and wartime;
- organization of storage of military automotive equipment;
- organization of park service and safety measures in the operation of military automotive equipment;
- basic documents on accounting, decommissioning and planning the operation of military automotive equipment;
- methods of repairing parts using the equipment of military repair shops;
be able to:
- operate a motor vehicle unit and perform its security, defense, and protection; prepare the engine for start-up, adjust and set various characteristics of motor vehicle assemblies and units;
- ensure constant combat readiness of the unit's vehicles;
- perform technical diagnostics and maintenance using moving equipment; maintain records, write-offs, and planning for the operation of military motor vehicles;
- determine the type of repairs required and the scope of repair work;
- conduct evacuation of stranded vehicles and bring damaged vehicles into transportable condition using the material part of the unit;
- organize the execution of repair of military automotive equipment.
Combat use of mortar units
The military training of students in the specialty Combat application of mortar units is intended to train reserve officers with the necessary theoretical knowledge and practical skills to serve in the Armed Forces of the Republic of Kazakhstan in peace and wartime in ground artillery units and divisions as primary officers: platoon commander, firing squad leader, with subsequent use without further training as a battery commander.
Students of this specialty must:
know:
- the basic provisions of the Rules of Firing and Fire Control of Artillery, Artillery Training Course, Instruction on Combat Work of Artillery Firing Units;
- general construction, tactical and technical characteristics of standard mortars and their ammunition;
- assignment, general construction, tactical and technical characteristics of devices in service with artillery units;
- responsibilities, content and operating procedures for the senior officer of the battery (firing platoon leader) and the commander of the gun (mortar, rocket launcher) when selecting, occupying and leaving a firing position;
- preparation guns and ammunition for firing;
- safety measures for firing and handling weapons and ammunition;
- methodology for training firearms personnel for combat work;
be able to:
- prepare for firing and fire control, determine the settings for firing, perform firing tasks provided in the Artillery Training Course for the platoon commander;
- properly operate, maintain and store mortars and artillery equipment
- conduct inspections, checks and alignments of mortars and prepare them for marching and firing;
- control firing platoons in selecting, occupying, leaving a firing position, and firing on various targets in all conditions;
- organize and perform combat work with the personnel of firing units;
- organize and carry out topo-geodetic alignment of firing positions, communications, engineering equipment of firing positions, protection from weapons of mass destruction, combat guards and self-defense of fire platoons;
Planning and organization of territorial defense
Military training of students in the specialty Planning and organization of territorial defense aims at qualitatively prepare for the Armed Forces of the Republic of Kazakhstan reserve of military officers in the military specialty Planning and organization of territorial defense for mobilizing deployment of the Armed Forces, other troops and military formations of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the positions of junior commanders of territorial defense troops.
Students trained in this specialty must:
know:
- the basic provisions of legislative and normative legal acts, the structure, tasks, the order of functioning of the Kazakhstan territorial defense ;
- - the main activities of territorial troops to protect the population and territories from threats and dangers arising during military operations;
- - principles of planning activities of territorial defense;
- - procedures for the functioning of the control and warning system in emergencies, as well as in the conduct of hostilities;
- - organization of preparation of civil formations of territorial defense and population for actions in emergencies in peacetime and wartime;
- - combat properties of conventional means of destruction and their damaging factors;
- - best domestic and foreign experience in the field of prevention and liquidation of emergencies in peacetime and wartime;
- order of organization of combat, technical, logistic and moral and psychological support.
Students trained in this specialty must:

- organization of civilian parties of territorial defense and population for actions in emergencies, in peace and wartime;

The military training of students in the specialty Repair and storage of automotive equipment (vehicles) aims at training to serve in the Armed Forces of the Republic of Kazakhstan reserve sergeants with the necessary theoretical knowledge and practical skills to organize the operation and repair of automotive equipment designed for peace and wartime in units and divisions for noncommissioned officers.
Students trained in this specialty must:
know:
- vehicle construction of mobility of weapons and military equipment;
- the system of military automotive equipment repair, types and methods of repair of machines and their units;
- organization of the repair of military automotive equipment , their material part;
- methods of repairing parts with the equipment of military repair shops;
- the main ways of detecting and eliminating malfunctions;
- the procedure for storing military automotive equipment;
- organization of automobile park service, maintenance of documentation on operating military vehicles.

Mortars 60mm to 120mm
The military training of students in the specialty Mortars from 60mm to 120mm is intended to train for the service in the Armed Forces of the Republic of Kazakhstan reserve sergeants - commanders of mortars, with the necessary theoretical knowledge and practical skills in firing and fire control, combat operations and military-technical support, in peace and wartime in units and divisions of artillery in the non-commissioned officer positions.
Students trained in this specialty must:
know:
- the requirements of the Rules of Firing and Control of Artillery Fire, Artillery Training Course;
- the requirements of the Rules of Combat Use of Artillery and the Instruction on Assessment of Artillery Training;
- the basic provisions of the Instruction on Combat Work of Artillery Combat Units.
- the duties, content and procedure of the commander of a mortar when selecting, occupying and leaving a firing position;
- procedures for preparing guns and ammunition for firing;
- safety precautions for firing and handling weapons and ammunition;
- the purpose, tactical and technical characteristics, construction and operation of mortar parts and mechanisms, artillery equipment and ammunition;

- perform the duties of a mortar commander in the course of firing missions
- work professionally as a gun (mortar) commander preparing for combat operations;
- set tasks for subordinates;
- control a mortar crew when selecting, occupying and leaving a firing position and firing at various targets in all conditions;
- make the necessary calculations when preparing to fire at various targets;
- prepare the armament and ammunition for firing,
- properly operate and store mortar equipment, conduct inspections, maintenance, checks, and preparation for firing and marching;
- identify and correct technical malfunctions occurring during the operation of equipment and weapons.
