The research work of students is an obligatory, organically integral part of the training of specialists at the University and is one of the main tasks of the School, solved on the basis of unity of educational and scientific processes.

The key objective of the research work of students and undergraduates is the differentiated involvement of students in various forms of creative activity, taking into account their level of training.

In 2013, students of specialty "Finance" took 3rd place in the V Republican Student Subject Olympiad in "Accounting and Audit" in T.Ryskulov KazEU. In the same year, the master of specialty "Accounting and Audit" Zhalelkanova N.Zh. won the research competition for students of higher education institutions of Kazakhstan and received a diploma of III degrees.

In March 2016, based on Al-Farabi Kazakh National University VIII Republican Student Olympiad on specialties "Management" and "Marketing" on a theme: "From innovative idea to its realization" was held.

The students of specialties "Management" and "Marketing" worthily presented the SoBaE academic at the national level, the students were awarded certificates of honor. The scientific director - doctor Ph.D., associate professor at the School of Business and Entrepreneurship Rakhimberdinova Madina Umargalievna.

In March 2017 the IX Republican Student Subject Olympiad in economic specialties among students of higher educational institutions of the Republic of Kazakhstan was held at the Narxoz University in Almaty.

EKTU was represented by the SoBaE academic team of the specialty "Economics" (scientific supervisor – senior lecturer Larisa Anatolievna Mezentseva). According to the results of three rounds the team took the 3rd place and was awarded a diploma of III degree, a diploma in the nomination "For the will to win".

An annual academic contest of EKTU is organized, the best of which are nominated for the national level. Students under the guidance of the leading teachers of SoBaE participate in national and international scientific, technical and methodological conferences, the results of which have significant results.

Students and masters of specialty "Finance" are regular participants of the Republican competition "Zhas Sarapshy", winners of the International Bank Internet Championship "Cash Flow", Regional and National competitions of student scientific works.

April 12 2017, at the University of Narxoz International Scientific and Practical Online Conference of Young Scientists, Masters, and Students on the theme "The Economic Belt of the Silk Road: Opportunities and Prospects" was held, wherewith particular interest was listened to the report on the theme "Aymaktardagy Tourism Damytu Zholdary" student specialty "Economics" Soyuzbek E. S.

The event was attended by representatives from such universities as East China Normal University, Belgorod State National Research University, Plekhanov Russian Economic University, Kyrgyz National University, and D.Serikbayev East Kazakhstan Technical University.

The participants of the online conference shared their experience in studying the impact of geopolitical and integration processes on the economic and political development of the states located along the Silk Road economic belt. Young scientists also presented their scientific approaches to innovative management models and discussed ways of tourism development.

On April 11-12, 2017 the III Republican Student Festival "Tiregi Sender Elimnin" was held in Almaty under the auspices of the Council of Young Scientists under the Fund of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The qualifying round participated in 28 universities of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Only 9 student teams from 6 cities of the Republic passed to the final. The School of Business and Entrepreneurship was represented by the team "START TO MARS". The head was the SoBaE senior lecturer Larisa Anatolyevna Mezentseva. According to the results of the final round the team "START TO MARS" took the prize II place.

In 2017 Aigerim Duisenbekova, a 4-year student of the "Economy" specialty, won the competition for student scholarships of the Fund of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan - Leader of the Nation.

Duisenbekova Aigerim became one of 32 new fellows, who were selected among 300 candidates. As part of the launch of the program, she was invited to the first major seminar on "Parliamentarianism in Germany and Economic Transformation of Kazakhstan as a Prerequisite for the Development of Social Market Economy" from 21 to 23 April 2017.

Duisenbekova A.A. was among the performers and participated in the development of the state budget scientific theme № 49-525-15 "Modernization of the economy of Kazakhstan on the principles of" green growth ": a regional aspect" (Head of the state budget theme - Candidate of Economic Sciences, Associate Professor at the School of Business and Entrepreneurship Varavin Evgeny Vladimirovich).

In April 2018 in Almaty at the Narxhoz University was held II Republican Student Olympiad in Marketing "MarkeTrend".

According to the results of the first and second qualifying rounds of the Olympiad of the declared 15 teams in the third round included 11 teams from different parts of Kazakhstan. EKTU was represented by the academic team formed from students of the specialty "Management" and "Marketing" of the School of Business and Entrepreneurship (scientific leaders - PhD, Associate professor of SoBaE M. Rakhimberdinova and Candidate of Sciences, Associate professor A. Zakimova).

Students of specialties "Management" and "Marketing" traditionally actively participate in all kinds of national competitions. By deepening the special knowledge, they gain invaluable experience of teamwork, communication, and cooperation with students of other universities of Kazakhstan, and thus increase the image of our university. According to the results of the Olympiad, our team took II place.»
