Methodical work of the department is aimed at improving the teaching of subjects taught by the faculty, optimization and intensification of the teaching activity, enhancement its procedural guidelines, improving pedagogical qualification of higher-education teaching personnel. An important component of this work is a methodological seminar of the department in which:

  • the main methodological problems of the department are discussed;
  • the training and methodological supports of the subjects of the department are discussed;
  • an analysis of the teaching quality is conducted;
  • a discussion of open lessons of the department is organized;
  • the development and introduction of new teaching methods are planned and discussed;
  • participation in the preparation and conduction of university scientific-methodical conferences and seminars is organized;
  • exchange of best educational experience and its implementation in the methodical work of teachers is practiced.

Methodical work of the department is a multi-way process to support the educational services. Its approximate contents can be summarized as follows:

  • development of training and methodical infrastructure of the educational process, focusing on the implementation of project-organized, problem- and person-oriented education technologies for the purpose of formation of a competent IT- professional model;
  • adaptation of educational and methodical and methodological contents of educational services to the needs of distance learning technology in the system of open education;
  • application in the academic process of courses of lectures in a multimedia version for teaching in the interactive mode.

The consumers of graduates are employers to the greatest extent, because a result of educational services, expressed in the knowledge and skills of graduates, fully manifested precisely in the real economy. Cooperation with potential employers, "UMP", "Kazzinc", "UK TMС", "Vostokmashzavod" energy companies and communications companies, computer companies LLP "1C-Rating", LLC "SIGMA", LLC "Enterprise KS" allows to adapt trajectory of training future graduates with the wishes (demands) enterprises. Active marketing of the market potential employers creating demand for future graduates allowed the department an impartial and qualified to formulate the requirements for graduates with the possible development of professiogram graduates as a basis for assessing the quality of education.

Much attention is paid to the methodology formation and development of an appropriate organizational and methodical support of such kinds of educational process as industrial and pre-graduation practices, aimed at improving communication with the production and scientific sphere and satisfying the requirements of the continuous training concept of specialists with higher education. This allows to solve problems with the implementation of the research activities results of the department in the educational process.

The innovation model of continuous practical training of undergraduates is realized in association with the sub-department branches at various enterprises and include:

  • generation of practical training programand elaboration of individual tasks with due account for scientific interests, real-world problems, solved on the factory floor, and requirementof SESE; the prime criterion of task elaboration is the maximum directional effect on compliance of department interests, the enterprise, and individual instructional trajectory of an undergraduate;
  • conduction practical training at a branch with enabling collection of data about Automation object, model description and research methods for further application in the course design and diploma project; exploration of new IT and support tools not included in the curriculum; participation in seminars, express-courses, trainings in fundamentals of innovation and strategic management, in decision making management and ability to work in a team;
  • application of the results of practical training in all kind of education, course and diploma projects, research work.
