Eperimental educational program “Mathematical Methods of Information Security”

The main component of training in the experimental educational program “Mathematical Methods of Information Security” is the acquisition of basic knowledge by students based on a rigorous mathematical apparatus necessary to perform official duties to protect information in organizations developing or operating information systems.

As a result of successful mastering of the program, graduates will master the basics of mathematical and computer modeling of physical, chemical-technological and other processes; basics of cryptographic information protection and information coding theory; information on international standards of information security; programming skills for industrial and scientific tasks; developing and managing databases for various tasks; knowledge of computer graphics and animation and modeling, visualization of objects.

Bachelors of engineering and technology in the specialty "5B070500 - Mathematical and Computer Modeling" can hold the following positions:

  • specialist, mathematician - software engineer, junior researcher in production and management organizations and research institutes;
  • system programmer, system administrator of computer networks, specialist in information security and cryptography in organizations involved in the development of information systems;
  • teacher of mathematics, computer science in vocational and technical educational organizations.
