The East Kazakhstan region has long been the center of domestic mechanical engineering, where large industrial giants of the machine-building industry are concentrated.

The foundation of the educational process in the field of mechanical engineering is a practice-oriented approach carried out through the Competence Center in the field of mechanical engineering; the Workshop of Lu Ban, whose activities are aimed at acquiring practical skills, skills, and work experience in industrial conditions by students.

The International School of Engineering has close ties with the city-forming enterprises of the region, such as: KAZZINC, Ust-Kamenogorsk Titanium-Magnesium Combine, Ulba Metallurgical Plant, Vostokmashzavod, Ust-Kamenogorsk Rebar Plant. Cooperation with enterprises allows us to conduct practice-oriented training of our students according to popular educational programs.

The scientific teams of the school implement applied scientific projects in which young scientists and doctoral students actively participate.
