Competition

As part of the 100th anniversary of Kabdosh Damitovich Damitov, a scientist and teacher, the first head of the philosophy department of the Ust-Kamenogorsk Road Construction Institute, who made a significant contribution to the formation and development of higher education in Kazakhstan, a competition of scientific projects of young researchers “METALLURGY OF EASTERN KAZAKHSTAN: PAST, PRESENT AND THE FUTURE (TECHNOLOGICAL AND ORGANIZATIONAL AND ECONOMIC ASPECTS).”

The organizers of the Competition were NAO VKTU im. D. Serikbaeva" and the Damitov family.

The main goal of the Competition is to stimulate research activities and develop the scientific potential of young scientists from universities in Kazakhstan.

Objectives of the Competition:
  • popularization of the scientific activities of young scientists from universities in Kazakhstan;
  • support for youth initiatives in the development and implementation of promising scientific projects that ensure the socio-economic development of the country;
  • an opportunity for young people to develop and apply their own scientific-theoretical and scientific-practical ideas, knowledge and skills.

The competition committee reviewed 14 works of students, 5 works of master's students, 2 works of doctoral students and 1 work of a teacher. Based on the results of the competition, the competition commission decided to award the following persons with diplomas and cash prizes:

Internship

Today the International School of Engineeringhas 9 agreements on establishing partnerships with foreign universities and organizations, which provide for exchanges of students, undergraduates, teachers, joint educational and scientific-innovative activities.

The strategic partners of the School are: Tianjin Vocational Institute of the People's Republic of China, Lincoln University of Great Britain, National Research Tomsk Polytechnic University of the Russian Federation, Brandenburg Technical University of Germany.

During the entire period of doctoral studies, students of the educational program 8D07202 “Metallurgy” are sent to leading foreign educational and scientific organizations to undergo a scientific internship under the guidance of a foreign scientific consultant at the expense of the state order twice, lasting up to 2 months each (for longer periods beyond own funds account). The duration of the trip is determined by the university.

Name of foreign university, organization:
  • UrFU named after First President of Russia B. Yeltsin
