The purpose of the internationalization strategy is to achieve international recognition through innovative educational programs and applied research for the benefit of industry and society.
The main goals of the University in the field of internationalization and development of international cooperation:
- Implementation of joint double-degree programs, academic exchanges of students and teaching staff between EKTU and foreign partner universities,
- Attracting applicants and students from near and far-abroad countries.
- Formation of effective procedures for interaction between the university and foreign applicants, students, faculty, researchers, specialists, employers.
The main functions of the Department of International Cooperation:
- determination of priority directions for the development of scientific relations with specific countries, regions, universities, educational, scientific centers and organizations, the formation of international cooperation projects on their basis;
- membership in international associations/institutions and cooperation with them;
- contacts with the diplomatic representatives of other countries;
- participation in international programs and projects;
- invitation and admission of foreign students, scientists and teachers at the University, coordination of their work/study and stay in Kazakhstan;
- coordinating the provision of foreign business trips for University employees;
- organization of reception and stay of foreign delegations at the university, preparation of programs for the stay;
- assistance in strengthening and further development of international cooperation of the EKTU with foreign partners through negotiations and correspondence.
