Aim of the Project:

Improvement of the quality of ICT professional preparation by building an effective System of ICT-education and strengthening links with business environment in Russia and Kazakhstan.

Specific objectives of the project:

  • To create e-qualifications framework for RU and KZ used for building EQF-based ICT education by September 2014;
  • Development of the training system leading to key ICT qualifications by January 2015;
  • To establish a network of ICT-training centres in PC universities by April 2015;
  • To develop a quality assurance mechanisms ensuring the quality of ICT training by May 2015;
  • Dissemination of the System of professional ICT-education, new methodology, teaching materials and methods among ICT-educators and ICT-business by July 2016.

Activity:

  •  On the 2nd December, 2013 - Webinar for Russian and Kazakh participants. The organizer is the Yuri Gagarin State Technical University of Saratov. The aim of this function was discussion of the main activities of the project.
  • January 27-29, 2014 - Conference and the initial project meeting. Venue: the Yuri Gagarin State Technical University of Saratov. The aim of this function was establishment of a project plan, the bulding of project management team, working groups, discussion of European ICT qualifications framework, the Russian experience in this field.
  • February 23 - March 1, 2014 - workshop. Venue: State University of Library Studies and IT, Sofia, Bulgaria. The aim of this function was study of the experience of the ICT qualifications development in European countries.

  • March 19, 2014 - "Professional ICT education in Kazakhstan based on the European Qualifications Framework." seminar in D.Serikbaev EKSTU.  Lecturer: Denisova N.F., Head of Information Systems Chair, Candidate of technical sciences
  • 31 March-4 April, 2014 – Training course on ICT qualifications developing for teachers of Russian and Kazakhstani universities. Organizer: School of Professional Education of the Polytechnic University of Milan (Italy).
  • April 24, 2014 - Seminar on the development of ICT competences in D.Serikbaev EKSTU:
    • The basics of e-CF and EQF.
    • Presentation of the European experience in developing ICT profiles and the methodology of ICT profiles development.
    • Studying of ICT profiles prepared during seminars in Bulgaria and Italy.
    • Definition of the qualification levels for ICT profiles: «IT Service Manager» (IT-manager, IT-director) and «System Administrator» (operator, technician, engineer).

  • June 30, 2014 - Developing qualifications for ICT profiles: "System Administrator", "IT Service Management".
  • Monitoring of the project implementation in Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, Almaty.
  • October 20-25, 2014 – Training for the heads of computer education centers, established in the TEMPUS project framework, Tehnocampus Mataro (Polytechnic University of Catalonia, Spain).

Training Program:

October 20 - Training on building of business models for training centers, the ITIL development in the training center;

October 21 - Training on ITIL, visiting VanGardia - the largest Spanish newspaper and news provider;

October 22 - Training on Cobit 5L (Control Objectives for Information & Related Technology);

October 23 – Visiting the Catalonia Open University computer-communication center, training on the e-learning organization;

October 24 - Project management in the training center.
