Description: Theoretical and practical course studies the urban environment as a system of interconnected open spaces, their types and geometric varieties, methods and means of architectural-spatial formation of the urban environment. Reveals the techniques of composition of urban spaces, the laws of spatial perception and technology environmental design. Generates an understanding of large-scale transformations, the subordination of large-scale systems.

Goal
  • To form a holistic view of open urban spaces among students. To give scientific and theoretical typological foundations for the design of urban spaces of human activity.
Objective
  • 1 To master the practical skills of the methods of analysis of open urban spaces, prevailing socio-spatial complexes. 2 To give theoretical knowledge of the methods of designing objects in the existing environment, scientific, theoretical and functional foundations of environmental design of open spaces. 3 To structure and adapt information from compositional courses, history of architecture, various fields of psychology to solve various ergonomic problems in architectural and design practice. 4 Summarize the information obtained in other disciplines affecting the problems of interaction between man and the environment.
