Economics Basics
Description: The course is devoted to the study of the economy from two points of view: from the standpoint of economic science and from the standpoint of the production and economic activities of subjects of market relations. Future leaders and managers need to master the economic methods of work, because the adoption of any decision involves the choice of the only correct option from among the alternative ones, based on scientific assessments of the economic efficiency of the predicted results.

Goal
- Consideration of the laws of the development and functioning of the economic system, the behavior of people in the production, distribution, exchange and consumption of material goods and services in order to meet the needs of limited resources.
Objective
- form a comprehensive understanding of the economy as a system;
- get a complete picture of the basic concepts, categories, patterns that characterize economic development;
- economic processes for independent application of methods, methods of analysis, tools used in any field of economic activity

Assessment of the student's knowledge
Teacher oversees various tasks related to ongoing assessment and determines students' current performance twice during each academic period. Ratings 1 and 2 are formulated based on the outcomes of this ongoing assessment. The student's learning achievements are assessed using a 100-point scale, and the final grades P1 and P2 are calculated as the average of their ongoing performance evaluations. The teacher evaluates the student's work throughout the academic period in alignment with the assignment submission schedule for the discipline. The assessment system may incorporate a mix of written and oral, group and individual formats.

The student's final grade in the course is calculated on a 100 point grading scale, it includes:
- 40% of the examination result;
- 60% of current control result.
The final grade is calculated by the formula:
