Goal
- The purpose of teaching the discipline is to train specialists who deeply know the manufacturing technology and properties of modern ceramic building materials and products that meet the modern requirements of capital construction.
Objective
- The task of the discipline is to prepare specialists who know the manufacturing technology and properties of modern ceramic building materials and products, in accordance with the requirements of current regulatory documents.
Learning outcome: knowledge and understanding
- Students should know: - manufacturing technology and properties of modern ceramic building materials and products, in accordance with the requirements of current State standards; - methods of transportation, storage and processing of raw materials; - methods and tasks of technical control of the production of ceramic materials; - the socio-economic situation in the construction complex in connection with promising areas of development of technology for building ceramics.

- Skills: - be able to solve various engineering problems; - evaluate the properties of building ceramics products by numerical indicators and have a good understanding of the methodological principles of their determination; - test of raw materials; - carry out work to ensure quality control of finished products; - rational use of raw materials, taking into account environmental safety, saving fuel, energy and other material resources, giving preference to waste-free production and the integrated use of industrial waste and products of other sectors of the economy; - reduce the complexity both in the field of production and in the field of application of the materials and products under consideration for given operating conditions.
Teaching methods
Traditional technologies are provided for teaching the discipline: classroom studies and independent work of students. The lecture course is presented in multimedia form. When presenting lecture material at the beginning and at the end of the lecture, motivational speech is used. The lecture-presentation uses text, audio and video information, graphs, tables, etc. In practical classes, students solve technological problems, consider production situations. For independent work, students are given topics of essays, essays, presentations. For deeper mastery of the discipline, course design is provided.
