Enterprise Economics (by industry)
Description: Knowledge of the enterprise economy (by industry) is the basis of the competence of specialists, their ability to determine the directions of the economic development of the enterprise. The activities of enterprises in a competitive market environment, the processes of development and adoption of effective decisions in conditions of limited resources are studied. Students acquire knowledge of fixed and current assets, human resources, remuneration systems, cost price, financial indicators and investment assessment.

Goal
- Obtaining applied knowledge in the field of economic management of an enterprise in a market economy, as well as skills in the independent use of theoretical knowledge in practical activities in order to improve production efficiency.
Objective
- Know the methods of identifying reserves, optimal ways of solving business problems in order to improve the efficiency of the enterprise in the relevant industry; be able to apply a system of indicators and methods for calculating the efficiency of the production and business activities of the enterprise, effectively use the resources of the enterprise, justify investment in the development of production.

- Know the production resources of the enterprise, the process of cost formation, the system of international indicators for assessing investment in production development.

- To be able to rationally use the enterprise's resources to improve the efficiency of its activities, as well as to calculate the economic efficiency of investment.

- Have professional knowledge of economic categories of production activities of the enterprise.

- Use information about the economic activity of the enterprise for public relations, be competent in the management of the means of production.

- To improve specialized education on a methodological and scientific basis, and to systematically increase the level of professional abilities.
Teaching methods
The following educational technologies are used during training sessions: - problem-based and project-oriented learning technologies; - technologies of educational research activities; - communication technologies (discussions, press conferences, brainstorming, educational debates and other active methods and forms).
Assessment of the student's knowledge
Teacher oversees various tasks related to ongoing assessment and determines students' current performance twice during each academic period. Ratings 1 and 2 are formulated based on the outcomes of this ongoing assessment. The student's learning achievements are assessed using a 100-point scale, and the final grades P1 and P2 are calculated as the average of their ongoing performance evaluations. The teacher evaluates the student's work throughout the academic period in alignment with the assignment submission schedule for the discipline. The assessment system may incorporate a mix of written and oral, group and individual formats.

The written exam consists of 3 questions: 2 theoretical questions (60 min) and one practical task (40 min). The exam duration is 1 hour 40 min. Evaluation form
The student's final grade in the course is calculated on a 100 point grading scale, it includes:
- 40% of the examination result;
- 60% of current control result.
