Lifting and transport equipment of processing plants
Description: Examines the basic concepts in design, terminology, symbols. Modern equipment of lifting and transport, tailing and repair facilities and rules of their operation are considered. Design requirements, methodology for selecting pumps and blowers, calculation methods for transport devices, water, slurry and air pipelines are outlined. Methods of determining wear and defects of machines and their parts, preparation of equipment for repair, restoration of worn parts are given.

Goal
- The purpose of studying the discipline is to study issues related to the transport of ore and processed products, lifting and transport devices that are used in the processing of minerals.
Objective
- - development of projects of lifting and transport machines and equipment taking into account technological, design, aesthetic, economic and other parameters. - carrying out tests of lifting and transport machines.
Learning outcome: knowledge and understanding
- As a result of the study, the student should know: • The purpose and scope of materials in lifting and transport machines. The main types of loads acting on lifting and transport machines • Classification and scope of application of the main types of drives of crane mechanisms, lifting devices, polispastov and drums. Classification, arrangement and purpose of the main parts of crane mechanisms. • Design schemes of cranes, their device features. Scope of application. • The main provisions of the "Rules for the design and safe operation of lifting cranes", introduced in the Republic of Kazakhstan from 01.08. 1994. • The main parameters characterizing the transported goods. Conditions and mode of operation of conveyors. The main parameters characterizing the conveyors • Design schemes of conveyors with a flexible traction element, device features. Scope of application. • The main types of auxiliary devices for continuous transport machines, their designs.
Learning outcome: applying knowledge and understanding
- As a result of the study, the student should be able to: • Determine the required type and diameter of steel rope, structural dimensions of blocks and drums. Select the required type of drive gearboxes, brakes and couplings for crane mechanisms, lifting devices. • To determine by calculations the parameters and types of components of crane mechanisms. • Determine the list of works for each type of lifting machine • Determine the classification groups of lifting machines. Conduct a partial inspection of cranes. • Determine the performance of pipelines, set usage classes. • To determine by calculation the required parameters of conveyors with a traction element. • Apply a specific type of conveyor depending on the characteristics of the transported material, working conditions. • Use auxiliary devices for specific working conditions in production
