Description: The students acquire skills and abilities to perform a complex of geodetic work required in the design, construction and operation of engineering structures using modern geodetic equipment (topographic surveys for the preparation of topographic maps and plans, the creation of planned and high-altitude surveying base, mathematical processing of geodetic measurements, solving problems on topographic maps and plans).

Goal

Give students an idea: - on the composition and content of topographic and geodetic works performed during the creation of a topographic base, carried out during surveys, design and construction of buildings and structures; - about transferring projects to nature; - on the methods of production of geodetic support in the construction of various engineering facilities (buildings, highways, hydraulic structures, bridges, pipelines).

Objective

The student must know the composition and technology of geodetic works that ensure the design and construction of various engineering facilities (buildings, highways, hydraulic structures, bridges, pipelines); the technology of certain types of geodetic works for various land cadastral activities; methods of geodetic measurements and executive surveys, methods of mapping land resources.

Learning outcome: knowledge and understanding

- specifics of topographic, geodetic and cartographic work;
- geodetic instruments and instruments used for geodetic measurements, mathematical processing of their results, as well as methods for creating topographic maps (plans).

Learning outcome: applying knowledge and understanding

The ability to apply modern methods and methods of geodetic works in geodetic support of economic facilities using modern technologies and software.

Learning outcome: formation of judgments

The ability to analyze information, make informed judgments and draw informed conclusions about the methods of production of various geodetic measurements and the conditions of their application.

Learning outcome: communicative abilities

- to work effectively individually and as a team member with the division of responsibility and authority in solving complex tasks; - to perform organizational and managerial functions in the team.

Teaching methods

- interactive lecture (the use of the following active forms of learning: guided discussion or conversation; moderation; demonstration of slides or educational films; brainstorming; motivational speech);

- creation of scenarios for the development of various situations based on the specified conditions;

- information and communication (for example, classes in a computer classroom using professional application software packages);

- search and research (independent research activities of students in the learning process);

- solving educational tasks.

Assessment of the student's knowledge

Teacher oversees various tasks related to ongoing assessment and determines students' current performance twice during each academic period. Ratings 1 and 2 are formulated based on the outcomes of this ongoing assessment. The student's learning achievements are assessed using a 100-point scale, and the final grades P1 and P2 are calculated as the average of their ongoing performance evaluations. The teacher evaluates the student's work throughout the academic period in alignment with the assignment submission schedule for the discipline. The assessment system may incorporate a mix of written and oral, group and individual formats.

Лекция	It is exposed if the student has disclosed the content of the material to the extent provided by the program, presented the material in a competent language in a certain logical sequence, accurately using the terminology of this subject as an academic discipline; answered independently without leading questions from the teacher; successfully answered test tasks, correctly and reasonably solved situational tasks. There may be one or two inaccuracies in the coverage of minor issues or in the calculations, which the student easily corrected according to the teacher's remark.	It is set if the student's answer mainly meets the requirements for the mark "excellent", but at the same time there is one of the disadvantages: one or two inaccuracies were made when covering the main content of the answer, corrected according to the teacher's remark; an error or more than two inaccuracies were made when covering secondary issues or in calculations, easily corrected according to the teacher's remark.	It is displayed in the following cases: The content of the material is not fully or inconsistently disclosed, there are errors in answering tests, inaccuracies in solving situational problems, but a general understanding of the issue is shown and skills sufficient for further assimilation of the material determined by the curriculum of the discipline are demonstrated. Практические занятия	The grade "excellent" is given if the student actively works during the entire practical lesson, gives complete answers to the teacher's questions in accordance with the practical lesson plan and shows at the same time a deep mastery of the lecture material, knowledge of the relevant literature, is able to express his own attitude to this problem, shows the ability to independently and argumentatively present the material, analyze phenomena and facts, make independent generalizations and conclusions, correctly performs educational tasks, allowing no more than 1-2 arithmetic errors or descriptions.	The "good" rating is given subject to the following requirements: the student actively works during the practical lesson, the questions are fully covered, the presentation of the material is logical, substantiated by facts, with links to relevant literary sources, the coverage of the issues is completed with conclusions, the student has discovered the ability to analyze facts and events, as well as perform educational tasks. But there are inaccuracies in the answers, some minor errors, insufficient argumentation in the presentation of the material, a clearly expressed student's attitude to facts and events, or 1-2 arithmetic and 1-2 logical errors in solving problems.	The grade "satisfactory" is given when the student as a whole has mastered the essence of the questions on this topic, discovers knowledge of lecture material and educational literature, tries to analyze facts and events, draw conclusions and solve problems. But in the classroom, he behaves passively, responds only when called by the teacher, gives incomplete answers to questions, makes gross mistakes when covering practical material or 3-4 logical errors when solving special tasks. As a rule, the grade "good" is given to students who have shown the systematic nature of knowledge in the discipline and are capable of independently replenishing and updating them in the course of further academic work and professional activity.	it is presented to a student who has discovered knowledge of the basic educational and program material in the amount necessary for further study and upcoming work in the profession, copes with the tasks provided for in the program, is familiar with the basic literature recommended by the program. The student's final grade in the course is calculated on a 100 point grading scale, it includes:

40% of the examination result;
60% of current control result.
