Objective
- know the basic principles and techniques of ergonomic formation of elements and complexes of equipment and subject filling of the environment;
- master the methods of design thinking aimed at creating a humane living environment;
- master the means of studying ergonomic interaction in the system "man-environment", "man-equipment-environment".
Learning outcome: knowledge and understanding
- know the anthropometric, biomechanical and psychophysiological foundations of human activity;
- know the theoretical foundations of ergonomic design, ergonomic requirements and standards;
Learning outcome: applying knowledge and understanding
- own methods for calculating the ergonomic parameters of the elements of the environment;
- be able to carry out an ergonomic assessment of the subject-spatial parameters of the environment with the development of recommendations for its improvement;
Learning outcome: formation of judgments
- learn to use the humanistic foundations of ergonomic science;
Learning outcome: communicative abilities
- be able to integrate various forms of knowledge in the development of design solutions;
- learn how to develop and demonstrate information, including on the basis of knowledge of engineering psychology;
Learning outcome: learning skills or learning abilities
- be able to design an ergonomic architectural and spatial environment.
Teaching methods
lectures, watching videos, working on the Internet using the suggested links; laboratory work on educational topics; independent work of students in the learning process.
Assessment of the student's knowledge
Teacher oversees various tasks related to ongoing assessment and determines students' current performance twice during each academic period. Ratings 1 and 2 are formulated based on the outcomes of this ongoing assessment. The student's learning achievements are assessed using a 100-point scale, and the final grades P1 and P2 are calculated as the average of their ongoing performance evaluations. The teacher evaluates the student's work throughout the academic period in alignment with the assignment submission schedule for the discipline. The assessment system may incorporate a mix of written and oral, group and individual formats.
Period | Type of task | Total |
---|---|---|
1 rating | Determining the subject of the review essay. | 0-100 |
Goal setting, definition of research objectives. Formulation of the subject and object of research. | ||
Preparation of the introduction, sections of the main part of the review essay, conclusion. Bibliography, graphic-analytical materials. | ||
Clarification of the content of the review abstract and graphic-analytical materials. | ||
Design check, preparation of a review abstract for defense and evaluation. | ||
2 rating | Measurements of dimensions and configuration of subject equipment for graphic-analytical research. | 0-100 |
Construction of motor and information fields. Analysis of the physiological acceptability of subject equipment. | ||
Analysis of the use of equipment and equipment. | ||
Preparation of an explanatory note. | ||

Evaluation form
The student's final grade in the course is calculated on a 100 point grading scale, it includes:
- 40% of the examination result;
- 60% of current control result.
The final grade is calculated by the formula:
FG = 0,6 | MT1+MT2 | +0,4E |
2 |
Where Midterm 1, Midterm 2are digital equivalents of the grades of Midterm 1 and 2;
E is a digital equivalent of the exam grade.
Final alphabetical grade and its equivalent in points:
The letter grading system for students' academic achievements, corresponding to the numerical equivalent on a four-point scale:
Alphabetical grade | Numerical value | Points (%) | Traditional grade |
---|---|---|---|
A | 4.0 | 95-100 | Excellent |
A- | 3.67 | 90-94 | |
B+ | 3.33 | 85-89 | Good |
