Passenger transport systems
Description: The discipline involves the study of the management of the passenger complex, the role of passenger transport in the transport system of the city is considered. The ratio and the specific weight of various modes of transport in the development of passenger traffic volumes, the density of the transport network, transport accessibility are studied. Attention is paid to the principles of the choice of types of passenger transport, design and calculation of elements of the passenger transport system.

Goal
- In-depth study and expansion of previously acquired knowledge on passenger transportation, familiarity with methods of evaluating the effectiveness of transport systems in modern conditions and the possibilities of using logistics technologies in urban passenger transport.
Objective
- Familiarity with the features of urban passenger transport systems and regional transport systems; formation of ideas about the interaction of various types of passenger transport and the peculiarities of their existence in market economic relations; study of the main indicators of the quality of public transport services; patterns of population movement in cities; study of methods for evaluating the effectiveness of transport systems in modern conditions.
Learning outcome: knowledge and understanding
- Have a clear understanding of passenger transport, classification of rolling stock for the analysis of passenger transport systems; know the main indicators of the quality of public transport services and be able to analyze them.
Learning outcome: applying knowledge and understanding
- - Be able to apply methods of evaluating the effectiveness of transport systems in modern conditions. - The ability to use knowledge related to improving the quality of passenger service based on the possibilities of optimizing transport systems.
Learning outcome: formation of judgments
- Achieving the level of requirements for the master's qualification characteristics in the field of transportation organization.
Learning outcome: communicative abilities
- As a result of studying the discipline, the student must combine deep professional training with the ability to apply and implement fundamentally new scientific, industrial and organizational solutions for assessing and improving the quality of transport services at the modern level.
Learning outcome: learning skills or learning abilities
- Acquisition of skills in research, analysis and determination of the effectiveness of passenger transport systems.
