Methods of scientific research
Description: The discipline forms knowledge on the basics of the optimal structure of organizing and planning a scientific experiment, management and organization of scientific and scientific-technical activities, presentation and discussion of research results and preparation of all documents necessary for this. The course includes familiarization with the classification, main types of scientific research, priority scientific directions for the development of science in the Republic of Kazakhstan, and the structure of scientific papers (abstracts, reports, theses, articles, patent applications, dissertations). The result of studying the course should be the mastery of the basic concepts and definitions of scientific research, the acquisition of skills in searching and reviewing reliable scientific and technical information, the choice of a research method and the presentation of its results using modern computer and information and communication technologies.

Goal
- The purpose of studying the discipline is to provide students with knowledge about research methods and understanding of the basic principles of organizing and planning scientific research, including the requirements for the choice of research methodology and for the assessment and dissemination of its results, as well as the ability to apply the knowledge gained to planning and conducting original scientific research. As a result, the undergraduate will be able to use modern technologies for searching and analyzing the reliability of scientific information, will be able to work with technical documentation and the necessary software, and will be able to competently plan his own research.
Objective
- to acquaint doctoral students with the main stages of development and paradigm shift in the evolution of science; about scientific schools of the relevant branch of knowledge, their theoretical and practical developments; on scientific concepts of world and Kazakhstani science in the relevant field;
- to develop in doctoral students the ability to independently plan, develop, implement and adjust the complex process of scientific research; analyze and process information from various sources;
- to develop the skills of introducing scientific developments into practical activities; conducting independently scientific research, based on modern theories and methods of analysis.
