Goal
  • To familiarize graduate students with the effective organization of scientific research in the field of construction.
Objective
  • The topic of the abstract is not disclosed, there is a significant misunderstanding of the problem, the content of the work does not correspond to the declared topic; conclusions are absent
Learning outcome: knowledge and understanding
  • the learner should know: - methodology of performing scientific research, - priority directions of science in the studied area.
Learning outcome: applying knowledge and understanding
  • the learner should have the skills to choose the actual topic of scientific work in the field of study
Learning outcome: formation of judgments
  • Realization of key values of research activity, manifestation of understanding of their meanings and values.
Learning outcome: communicative abilities
  • ability to organize their work in a group, ability to prepare work for a research grant.
Learning outcome: learning skills or learning abilities
  • knowledge of the methods of experimental data processing and presentation of the obtained results
Teaching methods

The following educational technologies will be used during the training sessions: - interactive lecture, demonstration of slides or educational films; - information and communication (classes in a computer class using professional application software packages); - search and research (independent research activity of undergraduates in the learning process); - solution of educational tasks.

Assessment of the student's knowledge

Teacher oversees various tasks related to ongoing assessment and determines students' current performance twice during each academic period. Ratings 1 and 2 are formulated based on the outcomes of this ongoing assessment. The student's learning achievements are assessed using a 100-point scale, and the final grades P1 and P2 are calculated as the average of their ongoing performance evaluations. The teacher evaluates the student's work throughout the academic period in alignment with the assignment submission schedule for the discipline. The assessment system may incorporate a mix of written and oral, group and individual formats.

essey The topic is outlined and its relevance is justified, a brief analysis of various points of view on the topic under consideration is made, conclusions are formulated, the topic is fully disclosed. All selected literature is analyzed and used in the work The basic requirements for the abstract and its defense are met, but there are flaws. There are inaccuracies in the presentation of the material; there is no logical consistency in the judgments; the volume of the abstract is not maintained; there are omissions in the design. The topic of the abstract is only partially disclosed; there are factual errors in the content of the abstract. There is no conclusion during the defense of the abstract. The content of the work partially corresponds to the topic; conclusions are not made for all sections of the work or partially correspond to the content of the section The topic is outlined and its relevance is justified, a brief analysis of various points of view on the topic under consideration is made, conclusions are formulated, the topic is fully disclosed. All selected literature is analyzed and used in the work
oral examination demonstrates systemic knowledge, mastery of terminology, provides logical and consistent explanations of topics, makes reasoned conclusions, is able to respond quickly to clarifying questions demonstrates solid theoretical knowledge, mastery of terminology, makes minor mistakes, which are corrected independently or with the teacher's correction. demonstrates shallow theoretical knowledge, shows insufficient fluency in terminology, makes mistakes that can be corrected only with the teacher's correction. demonstrates systemic knowledge, mastery of terminology, provides logical and consistent explanations of topics, makes reasoned conclusions, is able to respond quickly to clarifying questions
Evaluation form

The student's final grade in the course is calculated on a 100 point grading scale, it includes:

  • 40% of the examination result;
  • 60% of current control result.

The final grade is calculated by the formula:

FG = 0,6 MT1+MT2 +0,4E
2

Where Midterm 1, Midterm 2are digital equivalents of the grades of Midterm 1 and 2;

E is a digital equivalent of the exam grade.

Final alphabetical grade and its equivalent in points:

The letter grading system for students' academic achievements, corresponding to the numerical equivalent on a four-point scale:
