Goal
- undergraduates gain a set of ideas about mining and geomechanical processes in rock formations and factors affecting the intensity, nature and parameters of these processes, as well as acquire theoretical knowledge about the principles of formation of the stress-strain state of rock formations and gain practical skills in assessing these parameters and properties of rocks based on computer modeling and test results . rocks.
Objective
- - familiarization with the concepts of stresses, displacements and deformations of rock formations, with the characteristics of rocks and massifs; - study of the main provisions of rock strength theories; - acquisition of skills in working with specialized tools for modeling and analyzing the stress-strain state of a rock mass; - mastering the basic principles of developing calculation schemes, analyzing and interpreting results; - formation of ideas about the relationship between geomechanical processes and parameters of open-pit and underground mining operations.
