Description: The course provides an overview of the main trends in the development of infrastructure solutions for cloud computing. Attention is paid to virtualization technologies. Undergraduates gain knowledge and skills in developing "cloud" applications, as well as experience in using ready-made cloud services.

Goal
- Obtaining theoretical knowledge and practical skills in application development for the main existing "cloud" platforms.
Objective
- To consider the main characteristics of "cloud" technologies; the main differences from solutions based on server technologies; advantages and risks associated with the use of "cloud" computing, as well as prerequisites for the transition to "cloud" infrastructure and the use of "cloud" services.
- Get acquainted with existing solutions based on "cloud" technologies, as well as with the main suppliers of "cloud" platforms. Consider the structure of these services: components and ways of interaction of these components, advantages and disadvantages of these platforms.
Learning outcome: knowledge and understanding
- Virtualization technology; prerequisites for migration to the "clouds"; basic concepts, functions and trends in the development of cloud technologies.

- Identify automated and business processes that are more efficient to move to the clouds; assess possible risks of using cloud technologies; choose the optimal strategy for switching to cloud technologies.

- Correctly formulate questions and build professional dialogues on topics related to cloud computing resources.

- Practical use of skills and abilities in the organization of collective research and project work in the "cloud".

- Possess methods of estimating the cost of operating software systems in the "clouds"; implementation and management of noise-resistant coding and decoding; methods of developing a strategy for the company to use cloud technologies.
