The instructor profile

Description: The purpose of the discipline "Mining Technology" is the formation of students' theoretical knowledge and practical skills in modern mining methods. The discipline covers the technological processes of mining, methods of opening, preparation and excavation, as well as issues of safety and rational use of resources. As a result of mastering the discipline, students will be able to develop technological schemes of mining operations, evaluate the effectiveness of applied methods and ensure compliance with industrial safety requirements.

Goal
  • The purpose of this course is for students to study technical solutions for the opening, preparation of deposits, the study of systems for the development of ore and non-metallic deposits, consideration of the procedure for opening, preparatory and rifling workings, mechanization and organization of technological processes
Objective
  • As a result of studying the section "Opening and preparation of deposits", the student must: - acquire knowledge about the design of a mining network at the stage of field operation; - study the methods of the developed mining network in the conditions of a specific enterprise; - be able to choose rational ways of preparing mine fields; panels, blocks, floors, tiers, taking into account modern mining equipment and increasing the depth of mining operations; - acquire skills in spatial orientation of the location of workings relative to mineral deposits, making informed technical decisions. When mastering the "Development Systems" section, the student should study: - the order and sequence of preparatory and rifling work; - design of the development system and methods of rock pressure control; - classification of development systems; - methods for determining the parameters of development systems; - identify ways to improve them.
