Goal
- The study of the theoretical foundations of optimization of route networks, the ability to analyze the operation of existing passenger systems, the application of methods for studying passenger flows on the city network and the development of the best options for optimizing city routes based on advanced analogues successfully implemented in practice.
Objective
- Acquaintance with urban route networks of passenger transport in cooperation with other types of passenger transport of the city and the peculiarities of their functioning in the conditions of market economic relations; study of the main indicators of the quality of transport services for the population; patterns of movement of the population in cities; identifying shortcomings in the operation of urban transport on certain directions and choosing the most feasible option for optimizing the city's route network.

- Have a clear understanding of passenger transport, route networks of urban passenger transport, methods for optimizing them, methods for surveying passenger flows to identify weaknesses in the organization of the route network, analyzing the results of the survey and choosing an option for optimizing the route network of urban passenger transport in conditions close to reality
