Goal
  • Familiarization: with various types of transport, features of the transportation of goods by industrial, road, rail, water and air transport; with transport hubs as cargo transshipment points and engineering solutions used when choosing options for connecting modes of transport; formation of the basics of the transport worldview among students.
Objective
  • To acquaint: with the features of all types of transport and indicators of their work; to form holistic concepts about the principles of interaction between modes of transport in the nodes and the rules for their use; with methods of non-reloading methods of transferring goods. Teach: the rules for choosing the best way of transshipment of goods in the nodes in terms of operational and economic indicators; the basic rules for drawing up contact graphs in nodes. - classification of loading and unloading machines and mechanisms used in the interaction of various modes of transport; - classification of the rolling stock of sea, river, rail, air, road transport.
Learning outcome: knowledge and understanding
  • Knowledge of the basic principles, methods of interaction and transshipment of various types of transport, methods for choosing the optimal interaction scenario in terms of operational and cost indicators.

  • Drawing up schedules for the interaction of modes of transport in the nodes; Implementation of a competent and reasonable choice of rolling stock of various modes of transport, according to the goods transported; Application of the methodology for determining the order of processing of various modes of transport arriving at the transport hub in practical problems.

  • To form judgments about the importance of transport hubs in the country's transport complex, methods of cargo transshipment, the main patterns of work and interaction of various modes of transport.

  • As a result of studying the discipline, the student must combine deep professional training with the ability to apply and implement fundamentally new scientific, industrial and organizational solutions for organizing the interaction of various modes of transport at the modern level.
