The instructor profile

Description: The discipline involves the study of the functional features and role of transport and warehouse systems in the state economy, as well as the main tasks and functional characteristics of these complexes. The principles of organizing the work of transport and warehouse complexes and methods of designing cargo delivery systems using a network of transport and logistics complexes are considered. Particular attention is paid to the selection of the necessary equipment for a warehouse complex, as a structural component of logistics centers, and the calculation of indicators and criteria for the operation of these complexes.

Goal
  • Familiarization of students with the basics of modern methods of organizing the functioning of transport and warehouse systems and complexes as elements of goods supply chains. To develop the ability to use in logistics activities the basic principles of technological processes of terminal and logistics complexes that ensure the movement and distribution of transport flow products
Objective
  • - familiarization with the mission, purpose, objectives and functional features of transport and warehouse systems and complexes; - study of methods for designing a cargo delivery system at transport hubs using the backbone network of transport and logistics complexes; - students acquire practical skills in organizing the work of warehouse complexes and terminals from the perspective of logistics, as well as organizing the interaction of participants in logistics systems for cargo delivery.
Learning outcome: knowledge and understanding
  • - know the general principles of organizing the work of transport and logistics complexes (TLC) in modern conditions, including the TLC functioning model, criteria for choosing locations, requirements for the structure and functional purpose of objects;
Learning outcome: applying knowledge and understanding
  • Acquire skills in optimizing transport and logistics systems and using information technology in the field of professional activity. Apply skills in managing and optimizing production and warehouse logistics, analyzing transport and logistics systems. Possess the skills of optimizing supply chains and assessing the economic parameters of distribution systems. Use knowledge on commercial transport activities, carry out marketing research in the field of organizing cargo delivery. Apply methods for designing elements of the transport infrastructure of terminal complexes for the delivery of goods and passengers.
Learning outcome: formation of judgments
  • formation of concepts about the theoretical foundations of warehousing logistics, as an integral part of the functioning of the terminal and warehouse complex, methods of warehousing management, consolidation of shipments, repackaging, labeling; - make decisions on the selection of optimal logistics channels, supply chains, formulate requirements for transport, storage systems and warehouse processing of goods in order to optimize logistics processes in transport and warehouse systems.
Learning outcome: communicative abilities
  • Possess communication skills that allow you to effectively implement professional activities. Gain experience in the creation and operation of transport and logistics systems, the organizational structure of terminal and logistics complexes, be able to solve the problems of creating regional transport and logistics systems and centers;
Learning outcome: learning skills or learning abilities
  • Acquire the skills and special knowledge necessary for everyday professional activities and continuing education in a master's degree program.
