Cargo Transportation
Description: The discipline provides for the study of the theoretical foundations and methods of organizing the delivery of goods by road. The questions of the choice of rolling stock and its effective use, the development of rational routes for the delivery of goods, the organization of package and container transportation are considered. Attention is paid to the regulatory and legal support of the transportation process, as well as the problems of coordinating the operation of vehicles and loading and unloading points.

Goal
- The purpose of the discipline "Freight transportation" is to study the theoretical foundations and methods of organizing the delivery of goods by road, the acquisition of practical skills in planning and managing the transport process, the development of transport and technological systems for the delivery of goods, which corresponds to the goal of the educational program, which is to prepare graduates for production, technological and management activities at enterprises and transport departments, in regional transport authorities, in forwarding enterprises and organizations.
Objective
- The main tasks of studying the discipline are: - know the basic theoretical provisions on the organization of the process of delivery of goods; - be able to use theoretical knowledge to create conditions conducive to improving the efficiency of the transportation process; -acquire practical skills in solving engineering problems in the field of organization of transportation and traffic control.

- organization of road freight transportation; organization and mode of work of drivers; intercity transportation of goods; package and container transportation of goods; coordinating the work of vehicles and loading and unloading points; prime cost of road freight transportation; transportation of various types of cargo.

- Implementation of a competent and reasonable choice of rolling stock of various modes of transport, according to the goods transported; - Carrying out the priority of the order of detour of the points of the route; - Development of rational routes for the movement of vehicles; - Implementation of a competent and reasonable calculation of the technical and operational indicators of the vehicle on the route.
