Research Methods
Description: The discipline studies research methods and their relationship to philosophical patterns. The discipline examines the methods of scientific research in the design, production and operation in mechanical engineering. Students study methods of analysis and synthesis of statistical and information materials, acquire the ability to formulate the purpose and objectives of research, skills in constructing mathematical and physical models, as well as skills in performing experimental research.

Goal
- Critically analyze existing concepts, theories and approaches to the analysis of processes and events during design and research tasks; - To integrate the knowledge gained in the study of contemporary theories of modern mechanical engineering for solving research tasks in new unfamiliar conditions; - Conduct information-analytical and information and bibliographic work with attraction of modern information technologies; - Creative thinking and creative approach to solving new problems and situations
Objective
- Be fluent in a foreign language at a professional level in order to increase knowledge for scientific research; - Summarize the results of research and analysis in the form of scientific articles, reports, analytical notes
Learning outcome: knowledge and understanding
- knowledge of the master students about current state and further development of the innovation project management and intellectual property protection
Learning outcome: applying knowledge and understanding
- to apply knowledge and understanding, and ability to solve problems in new and unfamiliar contexts within broader (multidisciplinary) contexts related to their field of study
Learning outcome: formation of judgments
- Capability to integrate knowledge and to cope with difficult questions and to formulate judgments on the basis of modern aspects of the mechanical engineering development, taking into account the social and ethical responsibility connected with use of their knowledge and judgments
Learning outcome: communicative abilities
- To tell the conclusions and knowledge used for its formulation and justification concerning innovation project management and intellectual property protection
Learning outcome: learning skills or learning abilities
- To have abilities in the field of innovation project management and intellectual property protection, allowing continuing training considerably independently
