2017 – a participant of the workshop “Improved High Porosity Adsorbents: Using Local Materials for Sustainable Clean Water” at Durham University, UK. Durham has been awarded a grant from the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council and has allocated part of the said grant towards a Research Project entitled “Improved High Porosity Adsorbents: Using Local Materials for Sustainable Clean Water”. Prof. Alontseva worked on the preparation of a Collaboration Agreement on the work on the project and was invited to participate in the workshop.

2016 - a proposal for a project in collaboration with Dr. Vasilis Sarhosis (Newcastle University, UK) has been developed and applied for a grant from Newton Fund Institutional Links. The grants, managed by the UK’s Department of Business, Innovation and Skills, are intended to promote economic development and social welfare of partner countries through science and innovation.

TechWomen is an initiative of the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs (ECA), it’s managed by the Center for Women’s Leadership Initiatives (WLI) at the Institute of International Education (IIE). TechWomen brings emerging women leaders in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) from Africa, Central Asia and the Middle East together with their professional counterparts in the United States for a mentorship and exchange program. TechWomen provides participants access to networks, resources, and knowledge to empower them to reach their full potential. During the five-week program, participants engage in project-based mentorships at leading companies in the San Francisco Bay Area and Silicon Valley, participate in professional development workshops and networking events, and travel to Washington, D.C. for targeted meetings and special events to conclude the program.

I am an author and co-author of 245 scientific publications, including 48 articles in peer-reviewed scientific publications indexed by the Web of Science and Scopus, 5 textbooks, 4 monographs, 8 copyright certificates on intellectual property, editor of 2 scientific books, the organizer: co-chairman, keynote speaker and a member of the Scientific Committee of “Advanced materials manufacturing and research: new technologies and techniques (AMM&R2021)” international conference hosted virtually by EKTU on Feb 19, 2021.

I am a leading scientist in the field of automated surface engineering with 20 years of research experience in developing new materials processing technologies and managing research projects with state budget funding, a holder of the JEOL professional training certificate (operator of the JEM-1011/JEM-2100) obtained as part of the scientific internship in Nanotechnology in Japan in 2009, an alumna of the US Department of State's “TechWomen 2015” mentorship and exchange program and an invited lecturer delivered “Innovation Worldwide” lectures at Obuda University (Hungary) in 2019 (ERASMUS + "Staff Mobility for Teaching Programme”), developer of a certified MOOC "Research Organization & Planning" on the Open EdX platform in 2021.
