The President of Kazakhstan spoke at the international conference on achieving carbon neutrality. He stated that Kazakhstan intends to achieve it by 2060. "The carbon neutrality scenario assumes active joint efforts of the state, business and society as a whole to achieve the stated goals." [1, 2].
D. Serikbayev EKTU supports this initiative and is involved in the work with the project "Carbon neutrality through a comprehensive assessment of the territory."
The project poses complex tasks for assessing the territory of the region. It is supposed to conduct a complete inventory of greenhouse gas sources, justify the methodology for assessing their contribution for this territory, and take into account the self-cleaning ability of the territory and atmospheric processes. Based on a large number of initial data and calculations, create a simple and understandable model of the territory by carbon footprint.
