D.Serikbaev EKSTU in collaboration with Berlin Technical university and Volkswagen foundation announce a competition for participation in project «Sustainable Mobility Research in Central Asia»
The project suggests the following research spheres:
- Interlink between land use and transportation
- Transport modelling and simulation
- Data management and analysis with GIS software
- Assessment and impact analysis
- Mobility routines and behavior
- Integrated planning approaches and policies (best practices)
- Strategies and measures for sustainable mobility
- Characteristics of Informal Public Transportation systems (Para Transit
- System), integration in or completion of the formal systems
- Best Practices from other cities worldwide
- Connected and shared mobility
- Participation and governance in transportation planning
- Transport Policy Transfer (risks and opportunities)
VW Foundation granted the funding for completing research stays in Germany for 3 months, for participation in summer schools that will be held in CA countries. The grants are provided for:
- researchers/instructors with master’s or PhD degrees. Monthly payment: 1400 Euro (no tax) including insurance and visa costs. Payable (6 times 3 month scholarships);
- PhD and pre- PhD students. Monthly payment: 1300 Euro including insurance and visa costs. Payable (6 times 3 month scholarships
- master students. Monthly payment: 1.100 Euro including insurance and visa costs. Payable (6 times 3 month scholar)
The requirements to project applicants:
- S/he must be a master student, a doctorate student, a young researcher of D. Serikbaev EKSTU.
- His / her competence in English must be not less than А2-B1
- S/he must provide a CV and concept of his/her participation in the project + calendar plan.
