January 30, 2016 senior teacher of "History of Kazakhstan and law", G.V. Zhuk and AA Toksanbaeva, held "Legal liability as a punishment for the offense" discussion with students that live in dormitory №2, within crime prevention work among students of EKSTU. Issues that were addressed are: the concept, features and types of offenses; concept and types of legal liability; the basis of legal liability; concept and types of penalties.

On February 5, 2016, Head of the Department of History of Kazakhstan and law RK Aydarbaeva and instructors G. Niyazhankyzy, AB Daembaeva, AF Dzhaksylykov, held in the dormitory №2 traditional for our university, "East Kazakhstan - the pearl of the country" department day. EKSTU students enrolled in the state program "Serpіn" were invited to this meeting as well. At event were discussed important student issues and were showen a slideshow that consisted of 3 parts: geography, history and economy of the East Kazakhstan region. Also there was a quiz "Do you know Rudny Altai?". The winners were awarded with prizes.
