On the 28^th of February Rector of D.Serikbayev East Kazakhstan State Technical University, doctor of physical –mathematical sciences, professor, academician of National Engineering Academy of the RK Nurlan Temirbekov has been elected the corresponding member of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the specialty of “Information Technologies” .

Nurlan Temirbekov is the author of 86 articles and 2 monographs. He has conducted fundamental research of difference schemes mathematical issues for the Navier-Stoks equations with strongly varying coefficients. Effective methods of Navier-Stoks equations numeric solution have been developed and proposed. Geoinformation system for evaluating the anthropogenic contamination sources impact on the atmosphere of the industrial city has been created.

Besides, Nurlan Temirbekov has developed a multidimensional data model of educational statistics and method of its analysis based on the scenario of Data Mining method usage.

The ontological model of education base within the e-university and information technology of development and support of electronic-education resources and the HEI scientific knowledge based on the  Semantic Web technology has been created.  

Being a corresponding member is an outstanding scientific achievement. Only corresponding members could claim for the title of Academician of NAS of the RK in future.  At present there are 110 active corresponding members on the territory of our country.
