In the framework of the project "Shygys Adaldyk Alagy" for students, the EKSTU organized the "Summer School of Integrity".

In the future, each student will become an employee of the state and private institutions, open his or her own business and unwittingly face corruption. They need to set the stage and tell how and why they need to fight corruption.

The venue was at our summer expedition campus called "Prostor". The participants were students of the Faculty of Geology and the Military Department.

"In higher education, we train personnel. We shape their worldview. You cannot buy knowledge; you can buy a diploma, a position. However, when it comes to work, your competence will be visible," the Rector Zhassulan Shaimardanov emphasized the importance of the event.

"Corruption is a direct threat to the national security. It violates the normal order of things in society. At the initiative of our agency, a number of projects are being implemented. The goal is to eradicate corruption in the education system", said the supervisor Yerlan Zhalmagambet opened the youth dialogue platform.

He also gave examples of common types of corruption. Receiving gifts or other material assets is prohibited in any form. Only a society with zero tolerance can break such a practice.

The EKSTU is the second university after the KazGUU that opened such project office of integrity. At the university, the policy of integrity is implemented in all directions.

For example, a larger percentage of exams is translated into written format. The results of exams are sent to another university for verification, and a teacher, complete stranger, assesses the student knowledge.

Elena Berezinskaya-Abilova, the project manager of the "Shygys Adaldyk Alany" project, started her speech with simple questions for students. Moreover, she said that the modernization of public consciousness should start with each of us. We need to change the old stereotypes to which we are accustomed and withhold from giving flowers and sweets.

Students asked questions and talked to the leaders of the anti-corruption department and government officials.

Future scientific articles, projects, studies and suggestions for new ways to combat corruption will be considered and put into practice.
