The second international EKTU RnD forum-2024 brought together international and national experts in the field of mechanical engineering and the mining and metallurgical industry, representatives of industry associations, leading industry companies, universities, research institutes and foreign partners of EKTU: Tianjin Vocational Institute, Tianjin UMS smart Technology, China Automotive Technology and Research Center (CATARC).
The business community and industry are those areas of activity in which continuous progress and improvement of work processes and equipment are necessary for development - research aimed at solving actual problems in the industrial sector plays a key role in ensuring competitiveness. Therefore, one of the goals of the forum was the interaction and communication of enterprises, universities and research institutes in the field of mechanical engineering and mining and metallurgy to develop proposals on current scientific and technical issues.
The President of Kazakhstan, K. Tokayev, said that if production is not created in the country, then the total import of equipment can become chronic - which means it is important that industrial policy is coordinated with plans for modernizing infrastructure and developing the mineral resource complex.
Therefore, the second international EKTU RnD forum-2024 was held under the slogan "Science and industry: challenges, solutions and strategies." It presented successful cases of interaction between universities, research institutes and industry enterprises; acquaintance with the scientific and technical activities of universities of the Republic of Kazakhstan; systemic scientific and technical problems and issues of personnel training, current local requests of enterprises were identified; consortia have been formed to solve the technical problem.
At the forum, presentations were made by the Deputy Chairman of the Science Committee of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan Asylkhan Bibosinov, Deputy Head of the Department of Entrepreneurship and Industrial-Innovative Development of the East Kazakhstan region Olga Grigorieva, Advisor to the Chairman of the Board of Directors of JSC Allur Group of Companies Aigul Akhmetova, Chairman of the Board-Rector Saule Rakhmetullina, methodologist of the Russian State Enterprise on PVC "Digital Government Support Center" Ulzhan Ospanova, General Director of the Tianjin company for the risk management system smart technology Own Chung-Ming.
The forum format is convenient for discussing promising solutions and projects that will be aimed at the development of mechanical engineering and the mining and metallurgical industry and which, through joint efforts, will create the basis for sustainable and long-term economic development. Within the framework of the forum, four foresight sessions were held: "Development of clusters in the automotive industry to increase competitiveness in the global market", "Automation and robotization technologies for mechanical engineering", "AI and automation for mining and metallurgical complexes" and "Sustainable development of mining and metallurgical complexes: new technologies for the efficient use of resources ", at which both foreign and Kazakh experience were reviewed, and participants also shared their experience and approaches to working and solving various problems in these areas.
Also within the framework of the EKTU forum, memorandums of cooperation were signed with ALPHA-SAFETY LLP; ACC Korgan LLP; GEOSAT LLP; GRP Vostok LLP and Georesurs Engineering LLP. These agreements will benefit all parties, the development of both each of the partners and the industry as a whole, through the exchange of experience, expert support and consulting assistance.
Also within the framework of the VKTU forum. D. Serikbaev, memorandums of cooperation were signed with ALPHA-SAFETY LLP; ACC Korgan LLP; GEOSAT LLP; GRP Vostok LLP and Georesurs Engineering LLP. These agreements will benefit all parties, the development of both each of the partners and the industry as a whole, through the exchange of experience, expert support and consulting assistance.
The results of the forum, in the future, will become a significant contribution to the development of the country's innovative economy, and the joint discussion of the issues raised and the brainstorms conducted will help in developing the best approaches to various tasks and processes faced by both representatives of business and industry, as well as scientists. To overcome and sustainable innovative development, an integrated and targeted approach, joint work of the scientific community, business and government is important, because innovative infrastructure, cooperation and knowledge exchange will give a major impetus to the development and implementation of promising technologies, thereby positively influencing the economy of Kazakhstan.
