On December 25-26, 2023, as part of the implementation of the program-targeted financing project No.BR21882022 "Research of avalanche activity in the East Kazakhstan region for development of monitoring systems and scientific substantiation of their placement", representatives of the co-executors of the Ionosphere Institute LLP project visited. On a working visit, D. Serikbayev EKTU visited: Yeliseeva Alena, Head of the Laboratory for Integrated Data Analysis of Ground-based Space Research; Sakhariev Bakhyt, a leading researcher at the Institute and Iskalieva Gulnara, scientific secretary.

During the meeting, the stages of the project implementation were discussed, and an introductory tour of the Competence Centers of the EKTU was conducted.

The second part of the meeting was held in the Emergency Department of East Kazakhstan Region and the East Kazakhstan branch of the State Institution Kazselezashchita. Where representatives of the Ionosphere Institute got acquainted with the activities of the Department on the current situation of the avalanche period in the region.

On December 26, accompanied by an observer of the State Institution "Kazselezashchita", the project group carried out a trip to inspect avalanche-prone slopes. Specialists from the EKTU and the Ionosphere Institute examined the avalanche paths in order to plan further stages of the project.
