In the period 6-7 November 2017, D. Serikbayev EKSTU’s rector visited Novosibirsk State Technical University.
During the visit he had a meeting with the president of the NSTU, Pustovym N., first Vice-rector Rastorguyev G., and also Vice-rectors for Science, International Relationships, Dean of the Energetics Faculty, and Dean of the Faculty of Mechanics and Technologies.
The following issues were discussed:
- Manufacturing of superconducting wire for MRI from tantalum
- Manufacturing of implants based on tantalum
- Development of structural materials for the nuclear industry
- Development of construction materials for 3-D printing
- Implementation of Double Degree Programs
- Implementation of the work possibilities for the foreign scientists in the framework of educational programs with international participation, including courses in English.
- Joint usage of the equipment of prototyping laboratories, metalworking and materials science in the framework of funded scientific projects.
During the visit, D. Serikbayev EKSTU’s rector familiarized with the possibilities and the equipment of the Prototyping Center, digital laboratory and raster microscopy of the NSTU.
